Meet Ashley

“We do not have to learn to become embodied; we only have to remember what we once knew before it was stripped away from us.” –Dr. Hilary McBride

I don’t yet know the details of your story, or the particularities of the burdens you carry. What I do know is that grief, harm, and loss were never meant to be carried alone, and that witnessing these stories in my clients is the honor of my life. Our sessions will be marked with laughter and tears, curiosity and exploration, and an intimacy that arises when the stories of our lives are allowed to come out of hiding and be truly seen. In the places you may have turned on yourself, I aim to hold a mirror up to your inherent goodness. In the places you’ve disconnected from your body, I aim to honor the ways you’ve already survived, and facilitate a safe journey back into yourself. And in the darkest corners where you’re afraid to hope for healing: I will hold hope for you.

M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Messiah University)

  • My theoretical approach centers around the idea of “undoing aloneness”, utilizing the framework of psychodynamic theory (AEDP) alongside narrative work and Somatic Internal Family Systems. I believe that a bottom-up approach of listening to your body, and allowing your body to light up the parts of you that are in need of care and tenderness, will lead to a transformative experience.

  • I’ve long processed my life through the lens of Ebenezers—marking the moments I’ve been held and helped. These moments contain my most profound losses and my greatest joys, and as I’ve been on a path toward healing, I’m learning to hold my wounding and my longings with open hands. You can find me most often spending time with my 4 kids and my husband; being new to Colorado means we spend a lot of time exploring and adventuring! Play and delight in my adulthood have looked like creativity, laughter, and deep friendships. While the last few years have been spent in the intensity of my degree in Clinical Mental Health, much of what I’ve learned and what has driven me to this work is my own time as a client in therapy. I believe deeply in both the magic and science of therapy, and have witnessed firsthand in my heart the sacredness of this work. I’m the right person to hold hope for you, because of the way I’ve seen hope realized in my own story.
